Product Description
Bordering the Gard and the Hérault region and hidden between the two giants that are the Pic Saint Loup (658 mètres) and the Pic Hortus (512 mètres), the appelation Languedoc Pic Saint Loup is made of 13 villages (only 1500hectares). The vegetation is typically Mediterranean and the "Garrigue" with all its perfumes had to the tipicity of the wine with its exuberant aromas.
This "terroir" is also the most northerly appelation in the Languedoc. Rainfall is evenly spread throughout the growing season. There are pronounced differences between night and day temperatures at the end of the growing season suiting the Syrah and the Grenache perfectly and giving the wine enough acidity.
Les Grandes Crêtes is a dense but perfectly balanced wine with ripe black fruit flavour and hint of wood. A typical Pic Saint Loup which cries for earhy casserole or maybe a liver and bacon hotpot.
