Winbirri Vineyards started life in 2006 when Lee Dyer with his Dad planted the vines to fulfil an hobby.
The name Winbirri is an old Anglo Saxon term meaning Vine Orchard.
2010 saw the release of their first vintage and the result are splendid with a few awards picked up by Winbirri Vineyard at the annual East Anglia growers' association competition at Chilford Hall near Cambridge.
