Cuvée Hippocampe Blanc 2009
Taking its name from the Sea Horses found in the Etang de Thau, this stunning new wine from Henri de Richemer is a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier grapes from vineyards also using the water from the Etang de Thau.
Golden and intense colour with a complex and fragrant nose. The marriage of the Chardonnay and Viognier brings delicious floral aromas with hints of wood, vanilla and nutmeg. Full bodied and woody, the mouth has aromas of ripe fruit and caramel.
Cuvée Hippocampe Rouge, 2009 Concentrated and Ripe
The Mediterranean climate, along with special humidity and freshness from the Étang de Thau, guarantees the perfect balance of required acid alcohol for red wines.
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot has a deep garnet red hue. the nose is complex and expressive, with aromas of ripe red fruit followed by notes of spices and green pepper. The mouth is rich and develops aromas of cooked prunes. The tannins are silky but present.
