The La Mancha DO dates from 1973 and its production area measures 190,977 hectares at an average height of 700 metres above sea level. It supplies 30% of Spanish wine production and contributes 10% to Spanish wine exports. The DO includes 22,000 vine growers and 288 wineries. Castillo de Manzanares is one of the leading producers in the area.
Aged in barrel for over three years, the Castillo de Manzanares Reserva is a rich and luscious wine made from the Tempranillo grape variety with aromas of smokey cherry, damson, five spice and cloves with flavours of berry fruit and caramel on the palate.
